The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania

For the 2nd year in a row we've had the pleasure of being apart of a Long QT case study at . Dr. Matthew Hutchinson, Cardiologist, has taken a specific interest in Long QT and has invited us to discuss it from a very personal perspective. During this presentation we've had the opportunity to speak to actual medical students awarding them the opportunity to uncover the mysteries of Long QT and its real life effects on families. This is a very humbling and valuable experience for our family. Being able to even for a moment be on the clinical side of the table has educated my husband and I a great deal. Our participation in this case study really affirms the power of the parent voice, self advocacy and patient care as a team; including parents and professionals. We look forward to hopefully participating this upcoming October 2013 because there is always more to learn and more to share. We like to thank our friends Jamie Thorne, Mekhi Thorne, Crystal Dailey and Sid Holmes for their moral support. To speak to a room full of strangers can be intimidating but when there are familiar faces of love, it’s easy to speak from the heart.

Year #4 and we're still going strong! #ourstory #hisstory #Samadsstory

Our 5th year presenting at Perelman School of Medicine

October 6th, 2016: It has always been our hope that one day, Samad would begin his own journey in self-advocacy and this year it happened! Enjoy a quick clip of 6yr old Samad speaking to a room full of future docs in the field of cardiology. He continues to amaze us!

Special thank you to Dr. Mathew Hutchinson who has given us this platform to share our story.
Farewell Dr. Hutchinson, we wish you well and Arizona is blessed to have you.

Thanks you to Dr. Gregory Supple who is continuing this lecture series on Long QT Syndrome.
